Acceptable Use Policy
Sendout is for legitimate, permission-based application email. This policy identifies behavior that is permitted, restricted, or prohibited.
1. Permitted use
Typical permitted messages include account verification, password resets, authentication codes, receipts, invoices, transaction confirmations, security alerts, service notifications, and other messages recipients reasonably expect because of an application or customer relationship.
2. Prohibited recipient acquisition
- Purchased or rented mailing lists.
- Scraped or harvested email addresses.
- Addresses generated or guessed without a legitimate relationship.
- Third-party lists where the recipient did not reasonably expect email from the sender.
- Re-contacting recipients who have complained, unsubscribed where applicable, or are suppressed.
3. Prohibited content and behavior
- Spam, phishing, fraud, scams, malware, credential theft, or deceptive impersonation.
- Cold-email campaigns and unsolicited prospecting.
- Attempts to hide, falsify, or misrepresent sender identity.
- Use designed to evade blocklists, suppression, rate limits, or reputation controls.
- Illegal goods, services, or content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
- Threats, harassment, or abusive content.
4. High-risk activity
Sendout may require additional review for unusual volume, new accounts requesting rapid quota increases, materially changed sending patterns, sensitive industries, or other activity that could pose elevated abuse or reputation risk.
5. Enforcement
Sendout may rate-limit, reduce quotas, pause, suspend, or terminate an account without waiting for third-party enforcement when reasonably necessary to protect recipients or platform reputation.
6. Cooperation
Customers must cooperate with reasonable abuse, deliverability, or security investigations and provide information about recipient acquisition, message purpose, domain ownership, and remediation when requested.
